This is easier to move bags of soil, wood, rocks around the yard than my wheelbarrow. Sometimes my wheelbarrow tips to one side. It's easier to pull up the hill than it is to push up a hill.

Love this wagon; use it to gather firewood, haul stones for repairing walls, load it with debris and branches from pruning & transport all to compost pile, use it to unload grocery bags from carport to kitchen in one trip, plus it easily holds all gardening tools/supplies/seedlings for easy transport to garden plot, and the big bags (50+ lbs) of soil/lime/mulch/birdseed, etc. Just indispensable. The ease of folding down the sides or even removing them makes it mega versatile, & allows it to carry objects larger than its perimeter.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

Don't buy this wagon if you expect to haul anything over a couple hundred pounds- 1400 lbs is like sticking one of my horses on this thing-which would CRUSH it. I use it to bring some firewood up to the house and for light gardening- and it works great for that. I have already bent the attachment area for the panels-way too light weight of metal. The wagon is handy for various tasks that don't require too much weight- I did use it a lot this summer.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

Purchased the Jumbo Wagon to haul feed sacks - max. load 300#. Within first year, 2 wheels LITERALLY fell apart under load. Attempted to purchase new wheels but found I had to get wheels, tubes and tires as a set! More money gone! Attempted a MIG weld repair on second failed wheel but the metal was too thin to weld. For a cart rated at 1400#, surely a 300# load, evenly distributed should be a breeze - but not so. Need larger, stronger wheels, spaced further apart to give stability - cart tips over WAY too much. What good is a decent price if the product cannot perform? DO NOT purchase this cart for anything other than light duty hauling.

This wagon is the greatest thing since sliced bread! We have used it to haul wood pellets into our cellar, carry cement bricks from one end of the yard to another, carry lumber down to the cellar, generally move anything that is too heavy to carry around. We absolutely love this wagon. It is ruggedly built and the pneumonic (spelling?) tires are the best. They stay on top of the ground and make this wagon easy to pull around. Everyone should own one of these. For the price, it is the BEST!

This wagon works well for us. We are an Air Taxi in Alaska. It holds the baggage and frieght that we load on it. Fits nicely through doorways.and even pulls good through the snow. Some of the assembly hardware was a little light and we used some heavier nuts and washers. Locktite helps too keeping things tight. Added a piece of plywood to the floor for longer lasting. Overall a nice "Little Red Wagon"

Although the instructions for constructing the wagon are a bit difficult to understand, this wagon is lightweight but able to carry large items easily. I have not used it for more than 300-400 pounds but have had no problems in steering or traction. Having the sides drop makes it very easy to load large items. I have used it both at home and on the farm.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

We have 3 of these carts for landscaping on a large property. Prior reviews are correct regarding the fragile nature of the wheels and the capacity of the cart. Do not load more than 300 lbs. The wheel bearings are not capable of handling any heavier loads. We substituted higher quality bearings which have helped.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

This wagon has the most poorly designed wheels I have ever seen on a home product. My son loaded some landscape edging stones in the wagon and the wheels literally collapsed. The load was a few hundred pounds and was a fraction of the rated 1400 lbs. capacity. The rim of each wheel bent and then wobbled severely when rolling. I then took each wheel off and used a long 5/8" rod in the axle hole to bend the rim back into shape. I was surprised at how easily the rims were able to be bent back into shape! The expanded metal used for the bottom and sides is very thin and not very strong. The flimsiness of this wagon was a big disappointment. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

The wagon is ok for light duty. But the tires are only rated for about 300 plus pounds each and the under carriage is very light duty. I placed a 700
pound engine on the cart and the whole front end collasped. Its fine for moving a few bags of mulch but don't believe the 1400 pound claim for a second. I'd be nervous at 300 or 400 pounds.

This wagon provides tremendous strength, while being light enough for my wife to enjoy using it as well. It easily navigates most challenging terrain, and the flexibility of removing the side rails is a definite benefit -

We decided to take the wagon with us to the beach this summer, and it performed flawlessly. It was so much easier getting to and from the beach each morning and afternoon with the wagon carrying all the chairs, umbrellas, and coolers -

Good product that is reasonably priced from my view -

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

The wagon arrived in one box. The box was broken, wet, and smelled badly. All parts were present and the wagon went together in about an hour without problem. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The wagon smelled so badly that it could not be kept indoors and after 2 months of outdoor storage in the sun and wind, it still smells badly. I think the tires are the culprit. Otherwise, this is a marvelous tool that performs well for hauling firewood, garden debris, etc. So far, it has not tipped over even when heavily loaded and rolling over uneven ground. A longer handle would be an improvement because, when pulled hard, the front wheels sometimes come off the ground. All things considered, I like the wagon very much and would buy it again, even with the stink!

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

When we bought this product, it was missing a washer and some of the bolts were really too short. We also damaged a part, which isn't their fault, but we managed to replace it. With new bolts, new nuts, and some superglue, we made the wagon in to exactly what we needed! It's magnificent and highly recommended. Especially for "kit bashers" {those who build models know what I mean}. But it's also great as-is for routine, around the house tasks and occasional grocery shopping, too!

This wagon was the perfect find! Our dog recently became disabled, and we searched quite a while to find a cart that was sturdy enogh and also reasonably priced. This cart worked perfectly! We went to the store to purchase, and they matched the catalog sale price with no problem! We asssembled within an hour, and we now use it to haul the dogs with our others during a 2 mile walk twice a day. We also use it to haul her to our vehicle and back daily. I will purchasing a second to haul wood for our fireplace next winter. Very durable cart, and extremely easy to haul heavy object around.( I had to test it out, and put a transmission from my truck in it, and it handled it flawlessly!)

I would highly recommend this item to others!

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

I purchased this wagon over a year ago for my wife to pull to work. She pulls it by hand at least 10 1/2 miles a week, with relatively light loads (around 20-50 lbs).
Of course, the wagon has absolutely no problems with the loads she puts in it. She finds it fairly easy to pull and it rolls quietly and smoothy on the sidewalks and pavement.
However, the wheels do not take this level of wear at all. We've had to replace all the wheels at least twice from tread wear (had a few blow-outs) and a few times the bearings broke also. The wheels are just not meant to go the distance. So, I would only recommend this product for yard and garden use (soft ground, short distances).
Northern Tool has been really great in sending us replacement tires under the one year warranty. But now that that's up, and there are no better tire/wheel replacements available to buy, we're looking for a different wagon.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

I use this wagon primarily for movement of firewood from the outdoor pile to the wood boiler. Its large tires make even the largest loads easy to move over snow, ice and door thresholds. The sides allow a large amount of cargo to be carried and the open mesh deck keeps debris from filling the bed. These sides are also easily removable for larger loads. To top all this off the price is unbeatable.

Works well, all components are designed tough, work together good, no problems with the working of or with this item is a useful tool around the yard and shop. It needs to be stored under cover not in the rain for in the long run after several years
the joints will rust out and need to be re coated, this was a minor problem and in no way took away from the durability of this product holds the load and moves easily under full loads with no problems large tires move on uneven ground easily and is a pleasure to use.

I have found so many great uses from my new wagon.... Just kicking myself for not buying it sooner!
We use 2 large plastic tubs to bring our groceries (3weeks worth) home in the back of our pick up. It took both of us to carry just one into the house and sometimes we had to lighten the load and make extra trips. But NO more.... We simply stack BOTH tubs in the wagon for one easy trip. That means alot to my back!
My husband has plans to a haul in a big buck from the wood using our new wagon next deer season and I plan to take it with us apple picking.
Everybody should have one of these wagons.
Very satisfied customer,
Renie

I purchased this wagon for my wife and she loves it. It's a bit on the light side for anything heavy although it's rated fro 1400 lbs. I would be reluctant to put that much in it. The unit is plenty strong for what she will use it for and it's very handy to have around when doing yard work. The sides easily swing down or you can take them off in a snap.

I would buy again!

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

I assembled it in about 45 minutes. Instructions were good, only 1 error in the assembly of rear wheel assembly and that was in the picture shown of the direction that the rear struts were turned, it shows them turned the same direction and it should show them in opposite directions with the short parts toward the wheels.

I used two ratchet wrenches instead of the shown tool and it went much easier. Except when attaching to the bed, then I used one ratchet wrench and the tool mentioned due to space limitation, would recommend a closed end wrench here as the suggested tool slips easily.

I have used it to move 50# bags of pellets for my pellet stove over a 1/2 block up a somewhat icy slope to the house and it pulled easily. I also used it to move feed to the chickens & goats. And it will get a workout in the garden this spring & summer. It is a definite workmate and well worth the price.

I bought this for my wife to use to carry around gardening supplies. She's used it to carry everything from rocks, flowers and tools to limbs, and other miscellaneous junk. My personal opinion is that 1400 lbs would be likely to cause damage to the wagon, but it does pull 200 lbs easily.

This is a great hauler, a bit on the heavy side along with the load you are pulling, but very durable and versatile. Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

The wagon is way over rated on capacity. Says to be 1400 lb. capacity. We used two of these wagons to pick orders with. We never came close to the 1400lb limit, maybe 500 to 600 lbs. at most. Found that the wagon could hardley be pulled and could not make turns without axil bending. Weight was spread out over the entire surface of the bed. One of the wagons now has a front bent axal. We are having to limit the orders picked to around 250 lbs for this wagon to work for us. If you need to transport product with this wagon you better keep a very light load on it. anything being transported over 300lbs you will need a heavier built frame and axals.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

I purchased this wagon for moving wood from a shed to my wood fired bread oven. To accomplish this task I have to pull the loaded wagon up a ramp, through a doorway and a crowded 30 foot long room full of bakery equipment.
It took me two hours to assemble the wagon when it arrived. I am not mechanically enclined, so someone with more skill could do this job faster. Since then the wagon has performed above my expectations. I can load it high with wood, easily maneuver through the bakery, and fold down the sides for easy unloading. I'm not sure the wagon could handle 1400 pounds, and I doubt anyone could pull 1400 pounds anywhere but a smooth flat warehouse floor or something, but in every way that I've needed to use the wagon, it has all the features I expected, and performs the necessary work with ease.

Comments about Kotulas Jumbo Wagon Hauls Over a 1/2 Ton!:

I have been using the cart for a large paver patio project since it is rated at 1400lbs. It seems to only handle that weight when going straight on a smooth, hard surface.
The weakest point appears to be the handle/steering attach area. I had 3 lawn bags <300 lbs on it. I pulled the handle to the one side to get moving and the only thing that moved was metal holding the handle to the steering linkage. The metal was like soft butter. I bent it back the opposite way and off I went. I now only use the cart this way: 1. always pull in a straight line to get momentum, 2. turn later.
Be sure to use a removable threadlock on the wheel caps unless you want to tighten bolts weekly!
Overall, considering price vs. performance, it's OK. It's definitely not a commercial use, heavy duty unit by any stretch. Especially now that I have figured out the weaknesses.

Great item for around the house and garden. Be careful with your bolts, though, tighten them enough but don't overtighten in places. I actually didn't tighten enough in a couple of spots and the wagon tipped. Easy fix, make sure you grease well. Easy to use - I've seen a 70 year old woman drag one around with 5 big full watering cans. Best price I've seen anywhere - would have cost me over 50% more at another supplier. Get this, you'll love it.

The wagon worked great on concrete or asphalt. It hauled everything we put into it. However when we started to haul feed bags or hay bales (120lbs) the wagon became very unstable and tipped over on dirt. It took two to haul, one to pull the other to help stabilize the wagon. The wheel base is too narrow for uneven ground. I changed out the back axle for one 3.5 inches longer and the wagon became more stable. I still have to make new front axles. I think if they made wider axles this would be a great wagon.

Great addition to our lawn equipment. Large jumbo tires make rougher terrain easy to navigate. Rubber padding on handle was torn upon arrival, but replaced quickly, however, not certain how long the padding on the new handle will last. For a very durable wagon, the sides are a little flimsy but seem to be holding up well. Flip down sides are a great feature; makes unloading very convenient. With assembly, don't over tighten the nuts on the front steering mechanism or the wagon will be hard to turn. I had to loosen the nuts and lubricate good with grease.
