I like the crib and I don't like it. Mine is built with 8' 2x4s which holds a lot of wood, but the end of the crib doesn't stand straight up and down making it look sloppy. The truth of the matter is that I stack my wood another 4 feet higher that the top of the metal. I also have it 4 feet from the side of the wall and fill that area in with logs as well. So for the amount of wood I put in and on the crib it's great. I just would like the end to be at a 90 degree angle instead of a 75 degree angle.

I recently purchased a pair of wood crib rails to be used with my own 2x4's for fire wood storage and I have to say, I think it was the best addition for my wood stove needs. I have built my own crib for the small stuff but having the flexibility to custom fit these rails to your own lengths of 2x4's really gives you options for indoor or outdoor storage. As a matter of fact, I liked the first pair so much, I had to buy a second pair just to give me a reason to stack more wood!

It does the job, BUT, the base where the wooden 2X4's are inserted, need better re-inforcement. Perhaps some pre-drilled holes and wood screws would stabilize it.

Great little assembly. It took only minutes to set up and is nesting a weeks worth of wood just outside the back door with a small plastic tarp over the top. It saves the constant trips to the wood shed at night and in the morning. We'll be enjoying this one for decades!

Bought this with the idea of having a second stack of wood closer to the home's back door in order to cut down the length of the trips to the wood pile ecery few days. It turned out to be a great idea. Good construction, lightweight (unloaded of course), easy to assemble and when the season ends, will take up little room in the garage awaiting for next winter. .

We have been using 5 sets to store firewood in verious locations using 8ft to 16ft pt 2x4's. Never a failure after 3 seasons. Cant beat Northern Tools products.

Excellent way to store wood. I have some that are 5 years old.
Short ones (short term storage in the house) and long ones (up to 15 feet long) outside.
I've tried others that failed.
I do put a screw on the 2 X 4s to prevent the steel from slipping off rail.
I now also level the 2 X 4s with a cement block every 4 feet.

I put a tarp over it with blocks to keep the tarp down.

This product work well and I have purchased a few. The minor problem that I have is that there are not holes in the base to secure them to the side rails. My racks are 12 footers and the pressure at the base of the units can sometimes force them off the side rails. An exterior zip screw at each side of the base blocks them for coming off the side rail.

I purchesed 2 Wood cribs this sping , because of the high fuel price of oil and installed a wood stove. The wood cribs give me about 3/4 a cord stacked set at 12 feet apart , with pressure treated 2X4 . This unit gives me the freedoom to move my wood pile with ease, closer to my home or near the wood shed . You set them at any length apart you want to any 2x4 that you can get , go from 4 ft to16 ft ect. No tools needed , easy on and off , the abilty for your family to stack your wood with ease, and keep your wood stright and neatly stacked without any trouble . I highley reccomend this item to any one who burns wood .

You can spend a lot more but, this product gets the job done just as effectively and is the definition of simple. I especially liked the fact that I could define the length of my product simply by buying two 2x4's and cutting them to the length I wanted.

This is a much better product than those plastic corner pieces that are sold. I bought both types, and I don't bother using the other ones. This one is adjustable, based on the amount of firewood you have left. It keeps the pile neat, and organized. All you need is a couple of 2 x 4's to set it up.

Ordered the wood crib to put close to the house as the stacked wood is far away. Nice product very easy to put together and appears to be very sturdy.
Note its a bit wide for 12' wood but usable. No prob for me I ordered some 12' by mistake. The 14' fits perfect.

We ordered 4 of these cribs and found them to be a great value. Just add the cost of a 2x4 and you can customize wood storage to any space economically. They were just what we expected and we loaded them to FULL capacity

One note - be sure that the crib brackets are at least a couple of inches from the end of your 2x4, this will avoid any shifting when loading your wood.

When I saw this product in the catalog it seemed like it would work for a problem I had in my garage. I wanted something to stack my lawn chairs on to keep them neatly stored so you could take one out without the whole stack falling over. I wasn't sure if it would be sturdy enough, but when I got it home
it is perfect for the job. The end brackets are very well made and it's very easy to put together. Problem solved.

This wood crib is exactly what I expected. It is made nicely and the best part of it is that you can decide the length of it by the length of your 2X4's. It can be placed anywhere you want, and then if you want to change the location, or length, (ammount of wood it will hold), just lengthen the 2 X 4's. Great product.

I really like the wood crib I ordered. We keep our wood on the back porch and we had it in cardboard boxes. It looked messy. Since we kept the wood stove going day and night during the winter we went through lots of wood. We used 2 x 4's about 6 feet long for the wood crib. We were able to stack enough wood for a week. It looked much better and we were able to put smaller logs on one end and larger logs on the other. This was much better then digging through boxes for the size log we needed. When we stopped using the wood stove we were able to just take the crib apart and store it until next use.

I would recommend this to anyone that has to stack wood on a porch or close to the house.

I bought 3 units to use in 3 three different locations. One unit made a 4' unit which filled the space next to my back door. Another unit just as easily made a 6' unit to fit on the patio. The third unit created a nice 10' rack in the back of the yard. All three are sturdy, decorative, and doing a great job. I am seriously thinking about getting 3-4 more for Father's Day gifts.

We've bought four of these, so far, and are talking about getting two more. It takes about 2 minutes to create your new wood rack - and it doesn't look bad - so the wife is pleased!

Just slide 2X4s through the slots, set the whole thing on the ground, and it is done.

We bought this wood bin because the standard sizes where too big or too small for the space we neede to fill. This was perfect becuase you cut the 2by4s to what ever length you want. It is extremely sturdy and looks good. We couldn't be happier.

Simple rack end. Just slipped it on one 12 foot 2x4 on one side and two shorter 2x4's on the other. I will buy another one so I can have different racks to separate seasoned wood from green wood.
