This rat is durable and a load of fun for my Yorkshire Terrier. The rat is rather simplistic: only going in a straight line or spinning in place at high speed. It IS capable of manuevering around by tapping the "spin" button gently so it faces another direction, then sending it there with the "straight ahead" button. The rat's eyes light up bright red whenever you push it's action buttons.

I have thick pile wall-to-wall carpeting and the rat moves only slowly on it. I imagine berber carpeting would allow the rat to fly at top speed. I use the rat in my kitchen area (tile flooring) and it really moves! If you have wood flooring you can expect this "critter" to move well.

HOURS of entertainment for my dog.
