I installed an electric gate opener which is located in the middle of nowhere. Miles from any electrical power. Using a 12 Volt battery and the Solar Powered Battery Maintainer I have more than enough power to open and close the gate several times each day with zero problems with power to activate the opener. No, you won't be able to pull your house off the grid with this handy little charger, but it will do a great job of keeping your 12 V battery charged if it is used intermittidently. I bought the charger to keep my tractor battery topped off and it has been doing a good job. Remember, it's not waterproof. I used some silicon sealant around the lens and the plastic body and haven't had any problems with moisture or rain.

Many times my wife would go out to the 95 town car that sits more than it is driven and find the battery dead. The battery and charging system checked out ok. What we found was the drain from securety system was enough over several days time to zap the battery. All we did was plug the unit into the lighter ,stick the panel to the windshield with the enclosed suction cups,and presto...sun charges the battery. The car has set for 14 days and no problem starting.

This product comes in a good sturdy case. Although not water-proof
it can be easily mounted where needed. Easy hookup directions and
best of all...it works. It has kept the battery on my trailer winch charged
all summer.

So far so good - I used some clear caulk to water proof the charger and have been using it on our jet ski. My only complaint would be that isn't waterproof to begin with as their other larger units are. But for the price, it seems to be a great deal.

Definetly keeps my battery charged. I use it on a boat that sits in a dock all winter. I have it hooked up to two big batteries in parallel. Before I got this they'd be dead in the spring. now they are charged and ready to go. I had to caulk it to make it waterproof. The place that it sits never even gets direct sunlight. I'm going to buy another one for home.

I ordered this product when my motorcycle's electrical system was not charging in the manner that it is supposed to. All I did was zip tie this panel to my handlebars and it kept my battery very well maintained. I finally fixed the bike, and now I have the panel attached to a crate that I use for charging car batteries with. I love this panel due to the fact that I can use my computer, phone, i-pod and handheld games all off of the suns power!!!

I found the Solar Battery Maintainer easy to install and was pleased with the array of connectors provided making it useable for any possible application. I plan to use a "Maintainer" on any application (e.g. car, boat, snowmobile, ATV or lawn mower) that is routinely stored.

This is an excellant way to keep your batteries fresh on your ATV's, snow blowers and other equipment that is not used daily/weekly. It's great to walk up to a piece of equipment or ATV and not have to worry about it starting because of a dead battery.

This is a great product. I used it on my tent trailer to recharge a totally dead battery and it charged it right up without any problem. Now I used it to keep the battery charged and I have not had any power failure on my trailer since using the Solar-Powered Battery maintainer. I would recomend this unit for any camper especually if you do any wilderness camping in tent trailor, you won't have any power problems and you probibly won't need a generater.

The chargers work great. The only draw backs that I have had are that they cannot be left outside. Nor can they handle the heat of an inclosed vehicle left in the sun. I left one of mine on the dash board for a couple of days an the thing was all twisted . It looks bad but still works.

I use this product on three different motorcycles. It is easy to transfer from bike to bike and keeps each battery well top charged. no more wondering if the batteries will function as needed to start the motorcycles, they start first time every time I hit the starter.And the best part is this is all working on solar power.

I have purchased two of these solar chargers. One for my 67 Chevy C-10 truck and another for my John Deere lawn tractor. One sits on the dash of my truck to keep the battery charged when not used much. The other sits in my shed on the side of the tractor facing a wall and keep the battery as if bran new. I have swapped one over to my atv to recharge and worked awesome. Does not need direct sunlight. Works with very little daylight. These can be waterproofed very easily. These are easy to use and are well worth the money.

I use this solar panel to recharge a small gel battery which I use to power my laptop GPS unit and I also use it to power a small exhaust fan which draws hot air from the inside of my vehicle and exhausts it to the outside.
For both purposes, it functions quite well. In full sunlight I can recharge the small gel battery in about 4 hours from zero charge. Also, even in overcast skies, the solar panel is able to power the exhaust fan.

I have always had trouble keeping my RV battery charged over the winter. I hooked this battery maintainer up using the cigarette lighter plug and left it in the window facing south. I finally had a chance to see how it worked. I started my RV with no problems and the battery indicated a full charge. Easy and it works! I am sure I will come up with other uses for it.

I selected the solar-power battery maintainer as an experiment to maintain a small 12V battery with an inverter attached to power a dusk to dawn nite lite for a remote shed in my yard and the combo works just fine.this will lead to further experiments in this field.

Very useful battery charger. Uses the sunlight or even cloudy days to charge and maintain 12 volt batteries. I use it to keep my sandrail battery charged up and ready to hit the dunes.

I have an old farm truck that I use just a few times a year, every time I got in it I had to boost it off because it sat for so long, this inexpensive little solar charger solved the problem of having to boost it off, it keeps the battery charged great & it starts every time now.

Charger appears to genereate power.. However, it is not weatherproof, and if exposed to weather, warranty is voided. Inconvienent to use on ATV's, tractors, lawn mowers, etc, due to possible exposure to rain or other moisture. Instructions direct how to weatherproof, but if subsequently damaged, warranty would be in question.

Using it to keep battery charged on a motorcycle in an unheated garage. I've used other devices in the past. This is too easy. Low wattage and itermittent charging (daylight only) prevents battery from losing it's water level.
